Tub Kaek Beach is a secluded place 28 km away from the town of Krabi and an ideal location to get away from the crowded beaches of the city. It is surrounded by exotic landscapes with deep lush forest. This undiscovered heaven of white sand and turquoise water of Andaman is ornamented with gorgeous irregular shaped island on all sides. The Tubkaek Beach is popular for being featured in the movie Hangover 2, for the beach wedding scenes.
The stunning beach is shallow throughout, not deeper than 600 meters all along and the crystal waters are a fabulous place to swim and relax. One can explore the surrounding islands and take up adventurous eco-water sports, kayaking and relaxing in freshwater springs. Along the coast of this pristine beach, a few accommodations and some small restaurants offering local cuisine have come up in recent years. In spite of these few resorts, this place remains one of the quietest and most tranquil spots for a recreational holiday.
The misadventures of the Wolfpack all began in Thailand when the boisterous and motley group of American men travelled to “the land of smiles” to attend a wedding. The wedding was of Stu (Ed Helms) who was getting married to his fiancee Lauren (Jamie Chung), who was from Thailand. After going through a crazy Bachelor party leading to lots of mishaps in Bangkok, Stu, Alan (Zach Galifianakis), and Phil (Bradley Cooper), along with Lauren’s brother Teddy (Mason Lee) finally make their way back, thanks to Mr Chow’s (Ken Jeong) boat. They, then head straight to Phulay Bay Resort on Tubkaek Beach, where the wedding was planned.
