Tenmonkan, Kagoshima Overview
The covered arcade district in the centre, the largest shopping and eating quarter in southern Kyushu, named after an observatory the Shimazu built here. This is where you eat: kurobuta pork cutlets, satsuma-age fish cakes and shirokuma, a mountain of shaved ice with condensed milk and fruit that was invented in this district.
