Movie Animation Park Studios Malaysia

Situated in Ipoh, the Movie Animation Park Studios Malaysia (MAPS) is Asia’s first animation theme park. The unique theme park features animated characters of Hollywood movies like Megamind, the Smurfs, Mr. Peabody & Sherman, Casper the Friendly Ghost, and several others. MAPS is divided into 6 zones namely the Animation Square, the Blast Off Zone, Trick O'Thrill, Fantasy Forest Zone, Lakeside Zone, and the Live Action Zone.

The theme park houses 40 attractions that are mostly built in an indoor-setting which is fully air-conditioned. The Smurfs Theatre is the main attraction of the theme park. This theatre hosts a fun-filled show named Papa Smurf’s Rainbow Spell which gives one an insight into Papa Smurf’s Laboratory. Further, Malaysia’s tallest drop tower is also housed inside the theme park. Some of the other attractions of the theme park include a thrilling live-car stunt show, the Smurfs Playland, and two indoor roller coasters one of which features Casper the Friendly Ghost. After a tiring yet fun-filled day at the park, you can enjoy a sumptuous meal at the park’s themed cafes and restaurants.
