Military Museum of Texas, Houston Overview
The Military Museum of Texas runs as an organization dedicated to keeping alive the efforts and memory of all those Texan soldiers who have and continue to serve the country. The museum houses an extensive collection of historical military artefacts and memorabilia such as vehicles, field equipment, artillery field pieces, uniforms and others, and strives to preserve and exhibit them.
The military vehicles and aircrafts are used for diorama and display construction and a warehouse contains helicopters as well. Also, it serves as a historical research and educational facility (it has its own data base) and a meeting or convention centre for different military organisations from Texas. There are guided tours of the various exhibits wherein visitors are informed about the significance of each artefact in relation to the various events and wars such as World War II.
