Nithyanandeshwara Hindu Temple, Houston Overview

Established in 2017, the Nithyanandeshwara Hindu Temple in Houston serves not only as a centre for worship but also for meditation, enlightenment and celebration, where visitors can be cleansed. Sri Nithyanandeshwara Linga happens to be the presiding deity here, and is a replica of Sri Kalahasti Temple’s (India) main deity, Sri Kalahasteeswara.

Also, it has what is known as the Navagraha Kavacha, or the nine steps representative of the planets. The pujas at the temple are special and are a form of Vedic worship; they include Vedic mantras, yantra, tantra as well as homa, and can be performed individually or in groups. An important component of pujas is meditation. Besides daily puja, Nithyanandeshwara Hindu Temple organises others such as Shiva puja and Shiva Laksharchana puja, alongside Akashic readings. Bala Vidyalaya is an initiative taken by the temple to educate children on yoga, meditation, games, theatre, art and to offer Life Solution Classes.
