Sha Tin Park is a mesmerizingly beautiful park located along the sparkling river of Shing Mun. Set in the bustling 2 Yuen Wo Road in the peaceful neighbourhood of Sha Tin, the park is open to the general public. With 6 themed gardens, the stark natural beauty of Sha Tin Park is often unmatched.
The 19.89 acres of lush green space amid the urban landscape is a blissful escape from the city’s chaos. It takes pride for housing around 1,10,000 plants belonging to 400 different species. The park offers adequate amenities to entertain the park goers of all ages. There are children's playgrounds where the little ones can keep playing to their heart’s desire and there are quaint places where the adults can relax.
Main Plaza: It is the main area where adults are often found strolling while the kids can be found playing.
Amphitheatre: Sha Tin Park flaunts a well-maintained amphitheatre where different performances and cultural events take place.
Artist’s Corner: This is an open space where art exhibitions are hosted. It is also a great place for local artists to showcase their talent and sell the impressive work of art. You will often find them on weekends and public holidays. This area also flaunts a Wedding Garden.
South Garden: Featuring an absolutely mesmerizing lush garden with a manmade waterfall as the centrepiece, it is completed with an arched bridge and a pavilion that gives a view of the surrounding.
North Garden: On the other end of Sha Tin Park is the North Garden flaunting a charming lily pond with an arched bridge and a pavilion.
Azalea Garden: A captivating assortment of Azalea shrubs can be found here. These plants bloom during springtime and tempt visitors with their irresistible charm.
Walled Garden: It is a distinct space in the Sha Tin Park that features topiary, hedges and shrubs with colourful blooms.
Scented Garden: This features a myriad of scented Osmanthus fragrans and Magnolia figo (evergreen tree), hence the name.
Children's Playground: There are children's playgrounds located in both North and South Gardens. Here the children can enjoy fun moments under the open sky.
Refreshment Kiosks: There are refreshment kiosks where visitors can indulge in snacks and light refreshments while enjoying a leisurely stroll in the park.
Birds Conservation Area: This houses a wide array of exotic birds that are a feast to the sore eyes.
