Hong Kong Wetland Park, Hong Kong Overview

Hong Kong Wetland Park is a nature reserve and an eco-tourism park facility situated at the northern part of Tin Shui Wai, in Yuen Long. The highlight is the visitor centre, Wetland Reserve and Wetland Interactive World.

The Hong Kong Wetland Park was an environmental mitigation area for the wetlands because of the development of New Town of Tin Shui Wai. The park is home to a wide variety of untamed life, including butterflies, birds, fishes, and dragonflies among other creatures. It is also home to the famous Pui Pui crocodile. The Wetland park attaches much significance to Environmental Protection and puts the Volunteer Scheme into practice.

Wetland Reserve

The Wetland Reserve comprises of re-created habitats designed for waterfowls and other wildlife. It attaches much significance to Environmental Protection. The Wetland Discovery Centre, situated in the Wetland Reserve, gives guests more active experience about the neighborhood wetlands. Other facilities include Stream Walk, Succession Walk, Mangrove Boardwalk.

Wetland Interactive World

The Hong Kong Wetland Park incorporates a Wetland Interactive World that houses five exhibition galleries focusing on different themes and also showcases the significance of biodiversity and nature preservation. The Wetland Interactive World is spread over 10,000 square meters and over 148 acres of wetland for the wildlife. It includes five exhibition galleries, 3D cinema, a theatre and the Swamp Adventure indoor play areas.

How To Reach Hong Kong Wetland Park

Metro: Board the MTR West Rail Tin Shui Wai Station and change to 705 or 706 Light Rail to Tin Shui Wai Station or the Hong Kong Wetland Park MTR. The hong Kong Wetland Park is a 5-minute walk from there.

Bus: Board bus number 967 from MTR Admiralty Station Exit B to Wetland Park which is a 5-minute walk away.
One can also take bus 276B from MTR Sheung Shui Station Exit C to Wetland Park. From that point, it is just 5 minutes walk away.
