The safari ride is the main attraction of the Safari and Marine Park. There are many different types of safaris such as:

  • Some of the animals that one encounters during the safaris, include the spotted deer, African hippos, Himalayan bears, zebras, blackbucks, ostriches, camels, baboons, Indian white tiger, lions and more. The safari rides take you through the wildlife enclosures of different kinds, such as a replica of Ranthambore from India and the Kampung Gajah a home for wild elephants.

  • Interacting with animals is a major highlight of the park. One can take selfies with the animals, feed the white tiger or play with the meerkats. The Mara River Safari Lodge is perfect for overnight stays, as you can wake up to the sound of the roar of the lion or watch the zebras stroll past your window. In fact, in the Tsavo Lion Restaurant within the Park, you can dine with lions.

  • Enjoy the Bali Agung Show takes place in the Bali Theatre, where artists perform traditional dances, music shows and puppet shows. The show also gives an insight into the traditions and culture of the Balinese people.
  • The Water Park and Fun Zone is great fun for kids and adults alike. Splash about in the various water rides that range from simple activities to adrenaline-rushing rides.

  • Visit the Freshwater Aquarium is where marine wildlife is on display. Watch the piranhas and various other fishes take centre stage.
  • You will spot the Ganesh Park which has a 9 feet statue of Ganesha and acts as the entrance to the Bali Theatre. Elephant bathing is popular here. Similarly, one can also choose the Pura Safari that takes you to the place of Hindu worship.

Best Time to Visit at Bali Safari & Marine Park

The Safari and Marine Park can be visited throughout the year. However, during the peak season from December to January and July to August expect more crowds and also children since it is the holiday season. Those looking for less crowds and cheaper rates should try visiting Bali from April to June and from September to November.

Food and Restaurant at Bali Safari & Marine Park

The Tsavo Lion Restaurant is an African themed restaurant and is located near the lion’s exhibit. One can actually see the lions in their natural habitat, up and close while dining. The cuisine caters to international tastes, with special emphasis on African and Indonesian food. Dining at the restaurant is often included in the various tour packages and is one of the best ways to spend your mealtime within the park.

The Uma Restaurant is a traditional Balinese restaurant that dishes out authentic Balinese cuisine. Its ethnic village themed styled ambience adds to the charm.

The Safari and Marine Park can be explored both in a single day or one can also make an overnight stay in the resort within the Park. A few things to remember though are:
