Mostly the choice of hotels, decisions and support during emergency situation an (Read More)d overall planning. The husband-wife team is very cooperative and flexible and had taken personal care. It was a pleasant surprise to get a complimentary special tea packet after the trip. Their personal touch was very assuring.
It was an end to end trip for North Bengal and Bhutan, starting from Bagdogra ai (Read More)rport and ending at NJP railway station. As we have requested for a relaxed trip, as I am a senior citizen, they made it too relaxing...could have saved at least a day, if not two. Bhutan is known for scenic beauty, forts and monarchy and other than that there's nothing much to see. May be it's our mistake that we did not do our homework well, otherwise we could have easily saved 2 days and 20-25K.

Me. Bharat is a humble and approachable person. He clearly all my doubts before (Read More)the trip. His warm personal welcome is unmatched. Each and every thing was taken care by him and his team. Actually our happiness was double by presence of Sangay the guide and Amber the good driver. We felt like family by their behaviour. . I will recommend others to try Asia Valleys Tours and Travel.

We loved everything about the trip. Me and my husband travelled to Bhutan and ou (Read More)r request was a very last minute request but the Tour Manager Mr. Bharath ji ensured a completely hassle free and smooth programme for us. Right from taking care of our permits to ensuring our safety throughout the trip and also till we reached our home Bharath ji and his team ensured we had a great time. Also would like to mention when I raised a request for Bhutan trip on Holidify me Bharath ji was the first tour operator who reached out to us with a perfect plan within 30 minutes. The rooms were great and spacious. We being vegetarians were little worried about the food , but thanks to Bharath ji and his Team they ensured taking great care of our curated meals in all locations. Special mention to our guide Sonam ji and Our driver Sidhdhart ji, we started as a team and always felt we were traveling as a team. Excellent services and warmth. We became more like a family during the trip. I would highly recommend Bharath ji and his team for all ages and all plans to Bhutan.
There was nothing during the entire trip that we thought could have been better. (Read More) It was just the best trip we could have ever asked for.

Bhutan Travel Essentials

Best Time to Visit
The best time to visit Bhutan is from March to May and September to November, when the weather is pleasant (12°C to 25°C) and skies are clear for mountain views. Spring (March–May) brings blooming rhododendrons, while autumn (September–November) offers crisp air and festival season, including the famous Thimphu and Paro Tshechus. December to February is cool but peaceful, ideal for cultural trips to western Bhutan. June to August is monsoon season, when rain can limit travel to eastern regions but the valleys are lush and quiet.

Ideal Duration & Popular Itineraries
Bhutan holidays usually last 5 to 8 days, covering western and central regions. Popular formats include:

  • 5 Days: Paro → Thimphu → Punakha.
  • 7 Days: Adds Dochula Pass and Phobjikha Valley.
  • 8 Days: Combines Paro, Thimphu, Punakha, and Bumthang for a deeper cultural circuit.

Top Things to Do
  • Visit Paro Taktsang (Tiger’s Nest Monastery), perched on a cliffside
  • Explore Thimphu’s Buddha Dordenma, Tashichho Dzong, and local markets
  • Visit Punakha Dzong, one of Bhutan’s most beautiful fortresses
  • Stop at Dochula Pass for Himalayan panoramas
  • Visit Phobjikha Valley, winter home to black-necked cranes
  • Explore Bumthang Valley for monasteries and traditional villages
  • Attend local tshechu (masked dance festivals)
  • Try Ema Datshi (chili cheese) and butter tea, Bhutan’s signature dishes

Top Destinations Combined with Bhutan
Bhutan packages are often combined with:

  • India (Sikkim or Darjeeling) for an extended Himalayan circuit
  • Nepal for a multi-country cultural and mountain itinerary
  • Bangkok or Kolkata as common entry/exit points for international travelers

Why Book a Package for Bhutan
