Getting around in Rotterdam is an easy task. The public transport system is extremely well connected. There are buses, metros and trams running throughout the city along numerous routes, covering pretty much all of the city. A total of 5 metro lines and 10 tram lines operate in the city, along with several other bus routes. Taxis can be booked but are a little on the expensive side. But as always, for short distances at least, renting a bicycle is the best way to get around the city and take in the wonderful atmosphere.
