Layan Beach, Phuket Overview
Nestling on the northern end of Bangtao Beach along the western coast of Phuket, Layan Beach houses luxurious resorts and hotels located at the crossing between the sea and the river. Since a small island called Koh Kala protects Layan Beach, the region still looks the same for over 20 years now.
Unlike other beaches on the western coast of Phuket, Layan Beach is quite tranquil and frequented only by expats and Thais, thus adding to this beach still being Phuket's very own well-kept secret. Some of the other attractions around the area include newly launched Dream Beach club and traditional Thai massages offered by the locals in their charming little bamboo huts.

Things to Do at Layan Beach
There is also a small pier with fishing boats behind the beach along the river leading up to the lagoon, at the north of Koh Kala island. Once at the lagoon, visitors can rent a kayak and explore the surroundings.

How to Reach
- Reach Bangtao Beach either by a scooter or a tuk-tuk. Follow the signs that lead up to the Banyan Tree Resort.
- As you cross the Banyan Tree Resort gate, continue further to the T-junction and take a right.
- Then drive down a few kilometres to the dead end.
- Another way of getting here is by passing through the Laguna Complex and continuing along the small road towards the coast heading north.
