Murshidabad in Summer (April - June)

Murshidabad has a tropical climate. It is hot and humid during the summers with temperatures rising to 40 degrees, especially during May and June. The early summer months are relatively comfortable, characterised by dusty squalls, occasional thunderstorms and hailstorm. The storms here are connective and have a local name to them, Kal Baisakhi. Summers are the least advisable time for a trip to Murshidabad as local sightseeing becomes inconvenient because of the intense heat. If you are raring to go, then carry some sunscreen along.
