Cap Malheureux, Mauritius Overview
Cap Malheureux is the village at the northern tip of Mauritius, and its red-roofed church, Notre Dame Auxiliatrice, is the most photographed building on the island. From the shore behind it you look straight out at Coin de Mire, with Flat Island and Gabriel Island beyond, which is the view most north coast boat trips are sold on. The village is quiet and there is little else to do, so half an hour on the way to or from Grand Baie is enough.
