Located in the central Maldives, Mahibadhoo is the capital of Alif Dhaal Atoll. It is one of the country’s smaller islands at 8 hectares and has a population of around 2,000 people. Best Time to Visit

The ideal months to travel to Mahibadhoo are between November and April. Considered the dry season, this is peak travel time. Flights and hotel accommodations might be more expensive than off season, but activities and attractions are most active during these months.

How to Reach Mahibadhoo

Mahibadhoo is 73 kilometres (half an hour) from Male. There are local boats that travel two or three times a week or speedboats that travel every day. While boats would cost around MVR 200, hiring a speedboat would cost anywhere between MVR 310 and MVR 450. 

Alternatively, there are ferries from Maamigili to Mahibadhoo. If you fly into Maamigili at Villa International Airport, a local ferry to Mahibadhoo would cost around MVR 150. This intra atoll ferry travels to multiple islands from Maamigili and Mahibadhoo is one of the stops.
