KidZania Kuala Lumpur, Kuala Lumpur Overview

KidZania Kuala Lumpur is a children's theme park - a mini-city that spans across an area of 80,000 sq. ft. Located in Petaling Jaya area, KidZania is an edutainment theme park that allows the kids to get a real life-experience of a job-environment while they indulges in several role-play activities.

The theme park houses miniature replicas of office buildings where your child can perform various job-related activities like writing news articles, performing surgeries, attending meetings, handling a crowd and the like. KidZania Kuala Lumpur is famous for the firefighting attraction which allows children to ride a fire truck, extinguish a hotel fire and perform several other activities. Further, several attractions also provide uniforms to children thereby giving the kids a complete experience of the job.

Kidzos

KidZania Kuala Lumpur offers about 100 activities in over 60 establishments. After performing a job successfully, the young adult earns ‘kidzos’ i.e. KidZania’s official currency. With the help of ‘kidzos’ children can purchase various goods and services at the theme park. Once your child enters the theme park, he gets 50 kidZos to spend. To get liquid kidZos, children need to cash the kidzo cheque at KidZania’s bank.

Tips

Keep a map handy: The 80,000 sq. ft. theme park spans across two floors. While it may be difficult to participate in all activities, you can make a list of jobs that interest you the most and decide the order accordingly.
Ensure that your child is wearing comfortable footwear. There are several adventure activities at the park. Hence, a comfortable pair of shoes will aid your child to participate in these activities hassle-free.
Suggest your child participate in jobs which have shorter queues. The upper level of the park generally has shorter queues. However, popular jobs like that of a flight attendant and firefighter often have long queues. While most wish to do such jobs, it often takes up a lot of their time and also prevents your child from earning more ‘kidzos’. It is, hence, advisable to take part in jobs that have shorter queues to earn maximum ‘kidzos’.

Terms and Conditions

An adult (18 years and above) must be present at the time of purchasing a ticket.
Entrance to the theme park is dependent upon the maximum capacity of the park.
Operational hours are subject to change without prior information.
If you pay with a Visa Prepaid/Debit/Credit card, you might get certain privileges.
A single boarding pass is applicable for one-time admission.
The boarding pass cannot be refunded under any circumstances.
Adults will be prohibited to enter if they are not accompanied by a child.
Adults may be required to present an identification proof at the time of entrance.
Adults are not allowed to line-up in queues instead of their kids
Outside food and drinks are not allowed inside the park.

How to Reach KidZania

MRT: Mutiara Damansara is the closest station, at a 5-minute walking distance.
LRT: Alight at the Kelana Jaya station. You need to take the pedestrian bridge from where you will get a free feeder bus to IPC Shopping Centre.
Bus: If you are traveling from Pasar Seni, Kota Damansara or LRT Kelana Jaya stations, you need to take a Rapid KL bus. Bus numbers U88, U89 and BET1 pass near KidZania Kuala Lumpur. Alight at IKEA, Persiaran Surian and walk towards Curve NX.
