Mount Rokko, Kobe Overview
The 931-metre ridge behind the city, and the reason Kobe has one of Japan's celebrated night views. Getting up is three legs rather than one: train to Rokko, then a bus, then a cable car, so budget for the transfers. Rokko is a range rather than a single peak, and the viewing terraces rather than the summit are where you go. A ropeway drops to Arima Onsen in twelve minutes.
