Kaza, known as a cold desert, is freezing during winters with temperature dipping below freezing point. The main entry points, Rohtang Pass and Kunzum Pass, both remain close from October end onwards until June due to heavy snowfall. January is recorded as the coldest month of the year with nail-biting figure averaging to -37 degrees. Considered as one of the coldest places in India, Kaza enjoys a very pleasant weather to laze around or to go adventurous during summers. If you are packing your bags to relish the beauty of Kaza, months from May to October is an ideal season. Do not forget to pack light woollens with temperature in the month of July being averaged as 13 degrees.
