Ishigaki Public Market, Ishigaki Island Overview
Two floors in the middle of town selling what the Yaeyamas actually produce: reef fish in colours that look wrong, pineapple and mango in season, island salt, chilli oil and awamori. Upstairs is craft and textiles. Ishigaki town is otherwise thin on sights, so this is the stop that justifies coming into the centre at all.
