Cape Hirakubo, Ishigaki Island Overview
The northern tip of the island: a white lighthouse on a grass headland with ocean on three sides and nothing built beyond it. Getting there is half of it, an hour up the east coast on an almost empty road, which makes this the destination for the island's best drive rather than a quick stop. Free, exposed, and best on a clear day when the reef colours show.
