Yonehara Beach, Ishigaki Island Overview
A shallow reef beach on the north coast where coral and reef fish start a few metres from the sand, which makes it the best shore snorkelling on Ishigaki and the answer to Kabira's swimming ban. Two warnings worth taking seriously: there are no lifeguards, and the current past the reef edge runs hard out to sea. Stay inside the reef and go at high tide.
