Mount Nosoko, Ishigaki Island Overview
A 282 metre volcanic cone on the northern peninsula with a steep, rooty scramble of 30 to 40 minutes to the top. It is short enough to do before lunch and it delivers the single best view on the island, out over both coasts at once. Ishigaki's highest peak, Omoto, is taller but its summit is closed in by trees and its trail is unmaintained, so this is the one to climb.
