Kabira Bay, Ishigaki Island Overview
Emerald water scattered with small forested islets and the black rafts of a pearl farm, seen from a clifftop platform above the beach. Know this before you pack a swimsuit: swimming and snorkelling from Kabira are not permitted, and access to the water is by glass-bottom boat only. A great many listicles promise otherwise. For getting in the sea, go to Yonehara instead, ten minutes along the coast.
