History

The Avenue of Stars at Hong Kong was established in 2004 by the New World Group in collaboration with the Hong Kong Government, Leisure and Culture Services Department, the Hong Kong Tourism Board, the Hong Kong Film Awards Association, and the Tourism Commission. This privately financed project was then officially declared as public property.

After a temporary period of closure for the sake of renovation purposes, the Avenue of Stars was grandly reopened in 2019.
