Hoi Quan Phuoc Kien is one of the five assembly halls located inside the Ancient Town of Hoi An. It was built as a community center and place of worship by migrating Chinese families who settled in Hoi An after the collapse of the Ming Dynasty. Built in the 1690s, the hall comprises a courtyard, two rows of residential houses, the main hall, a backyard, and a back hall.
The architecture follows the traditional Chinese style, with pagoda-style roofs and dragons. The shrine inside Hoi Quan Phuoc Kien is dedicated to Thien Hau Thanh Mau, a Chinese goddess of the sea who protects the fishermen and seafarers.
