One of the rare party beaches of South Goa, Mobor Beach is considered an extension of the adjoining Cavelossim Beach, located towards the southern side by the confluence of the delightful river Sal with the Arabian Sea. This beach is a prime destination for the active tourists of Goa, offering a whole range of watersports like jet skiing, windsurfing, parasailing, as well as biking on the beach, a rather popular activity on this lively beach. One can also opt for dolphin spotting, bird spotting or cruise across the river Sal, observing some of the exotic biodiversity of the area. The delta of the River Sal is considered to have immense biological importance, and navigation of the region is discouraged unless the sailor is experienced in such tricky areas.
Home to two of the fanciest hotel chains, Mobor Beach is equipped with casinos, bars, discos, and fancy eateries catering to the more luxurious guests. This beach is often mistaken for a private beach, as a portion of it is also owned by these hotels. Because of this misconception, the crowds at the beach are largely filtered, making it one of the fancier beaches in Goa. This beach also provides visitors with the opportunity to engage in some of the more exclusive water activities like underwater fishing and oyster catching.
