Sri Lanka Planetarium, Colombo Overview
Located on the University of Colombo grounds, Sri Lanka Planetarium is a public planetarium housed within a lotus-shaped building from 1965. This is the first and only planetarium in the country, maintained by the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Research, and features 570 seats. Visitors can enjoy shows in English and Tamil inside, consisting of lessons about planets, the sun, the solar system, and star constellations.
