Ilig Iligan Beach, Boracay Overview

Located at the north- eastern coast of the island of Boracay, Ilig Iligan Beach is a pristine beach which boasts of powdery white sands and crystal clear waters. Offering immense peace and solitude, it is a much preferred beach if you want to avoid the crowd and be on your own. Flanked by green trees and popular for its ethereal views of the sun, sea and sand, the beach is also a popular picnic spot.

There is also a small patch of green forest on one end of the beach that most tourists like to explore to hike and trek. Besides, there are several coves and caves which attract a lot of adventure seekers. On the trees lining the shores, you can find several bats hanging upside down. Ilig Iligan Beach is also popular for its various adventure sports and thrilling activities like snorkelling and scuba diving etc. But there are a very few food options on the beach, you can find two seafood restaurants which can cater to your hunger pangs.

Tips

  1. The beach has no development at all, so remember to carry all things of requirement and basic necessity. 
  2. If you are coming here for a picnic, do not forget to pack a sheet and food and beverages.
  3. Carry your sarongs, swimwear, hat, sunscreen, drinks etc.
  4. You can also bring and consume alcohol on the beach.
  5. There are also no trash bins on the beach. So do not forget to clean up after you are done. Carry your trash back with you. Littering the gorgeous beach is upsetting not just for the environment but also to the locals.

How to Reach

The most common way to reach Ilig Iligan Beach is through motorboats. There are also some tour packages for island hopping which cover this beach. You can also take a tricycle from the White Beach to reach here.
