Called the 'Amihan season' this period brings with it, the cold, northeast wind across the island. Humidity and rainfall remain low, and the sea water is perfect for swimming, diving, and other activities. The temperature in Boracay remains moderate throughout the year - an average of 30°C during the day and 25°C in the evening. Its seasons can be classified into two distinct parts - the dry and the wet season. The monsoons run from May to October. The temperature during May and October remains comfortable but very humid. June, July, August and September experiences heavy rain, and the threat of typhoons looms throughout the Philippines. June is the wettest month in Boracay, with an average of 237mm of rain. Boracay is somewhat sheltered from the chances of a direct typhoon hit but remains vulnerable to higher tides, strong winds, and heavy rains.
