Yas Island, Abu Dhabi Overview

Yas Island is a 2,500-hectare human-made island in Abu Dhabi and is one of the biggest tourist attractions in UAE. This engineering marvel encompasses everything from posh hotels to shopping centres. It is also home to the famous Ferrari World and the Yas Marina Circuit which hosts the Formula One Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix every year since 2009.

Considered an activities hub in Abu Dhabi, Yas Island houses some amazing attractions for people of all ages to enjoy. The island features an extensive golf course, the ‘Yas Link’ and the beautiful Yas Beach. Regarding live entertainment options, Yas Island has the du Arena which is the largest open-air concert venue in the Middle East & du Forum which is hosted by the entertainment platform 'Du Live!'. The island's main hotel, Yas Viceroy is a five-star hotel located on Yas Marina and is the first ever hotel to be constructed over an F1 circuit. Yas Island also accommodates other major hotel chains like Radisson, Crowne Plaza etc., which are mostly five-star properties.

Tips For Visiting Yas Island

Yas Island can be easily covered by taking the Yas Express which is a complimentary shuttle service within the island.
Parking shouldn't be an issue here, as there is plenty of parking facilites available outside the island and you can use the shuttle bus from then on to help you commute within the island.
If you visit the island during the Formula 1 season, the Yas Marina Circuit will be closed for public activites.

Things to do in Yas Island

1. Ride The World's Fastest Roller Coaster at Ferrari World: This famous ride, Formula Rossa, has a top speed of 240 kms/h. Ferrari world is the world's largest indoor theme park that has a museum, various rides, authentic Italian restaurants and more to keep you pumped throughout your visit here.

2. Cool Off at the Yas Waterworld: A waterpark thats fun for all ages, Yas waterworld is one of the UAE's most elaborate parks with over 45 slides, rides and more. It is also home to the world’s largest surfable sheet wave surf in the world.
