The Desert Safari tours and other related activities are performed in the Al Khateem desert region. The desert is situated near the town of Al Khateem, which lies around 78 Km southwest of Abu Dhabi city. To reach the desert region, it is advised to coordinate with your respective Desert Safari operator to arrange pickup and drop–off to and from your stay in Abu Dhabi.
For those who are willing to reach the place all by themselves, you may rent a vehicle and drive to the desert region by travelling along the Al Ain Road. Since the desert lies around 83 Km west of Abu Dhabi city, it would roughly take around 1 Hour to reach the Al Khateem desert from the city.
Tips
Desert Safari Tour and Dune Bashing activity is not recommended for those suffering from spine problems as well as for pregnant women.
