Trickeye Museum, Singapore Overview

The world famous Trickeye Museum is now open at Singapore and continues to astonish the large crowds it attracts. Originated in Korea, this is Singapore's first interactive 4D museum and one of the many attractions found at Resort World Sentosa. However, this museum is different and unique from many other museums found around Singapore as it uses Augmented Reality (AR) to make its visitors believe that they are part of the paintings or installations. Trickeye was a great success as it not only targets the children but is also quite famous amongst the older generation. This is because the six themes of the museum ensure that everyone gets to live out their dreams- whether it is to be in an enchanted fairy tale while fighting dragons or to be a master of magic and show off your skills.

The indoor experience plays with optical illusions and visitors can also experience all there is and more by downloading the app available on all play stores. The vision behind this museum was to use the traditional art technique, Trompe-l'oeil which translates to 'deceive the eye'. This technique converts 2D paintings to 3D images in a truly fascinating way. Aside from this, the Trickeye also has a very different policy. To make it as interactive as possible, it proclaims to have a 'please touch' policy that is different from all other museums. This makes the installations and experiences even more realistic and enjoyable. The museum, containing more than 80 pieces, truly is a work of art.

More on Trickeye Museum

Trick Eye Museum is divided into six themes. People can experience all six themes with a single ticket. Thes are wildly different but are equally innovative and family friendly. The themes are-
  • Circus: The installations in this set makes you feel like a real mastermind. Impress and astonish friends by doing feats seemingly impossible but made possible by the optical illusion of Trick World, while also having a hearty laugh at the theatrics of the zone.
  • Safari Kingdom: The safari kingdom lets you prowl the wild jungles without actually getting eaten by a lion. The installations may remind you in part of the famous night safari in Singapore and will give you an authentic feel of life in the wild.
  • Fairytale: This is an extremely popular set of installations as it makes you live vicariously through the fairytales read and watched and often imagined yourself in. This set is not only famous among children but also adults as it leaves them extraordinarily nostalgic yet content after visiting.
  • Adventure: An entertaining set of installations, adventure is just as its name suggests and gets people feel like an explorer and truly awed yet joyous when visiting it. This zone brings out the traveller in everyone.
  • Masterpiece: The World of Masterpieces gives people not only a brief knowledge of history but also imitates several masterpieces and works that you may recognise. All masterpieces under one roof is just a bonus to the fact that you get to be a part of them.
  • Winter: The real beauty of winter is witnessed in this themed set of installations as they create a wonderland of sorts that is extremely beautiful and mesmerising. Enjoy the installations of the snow and the world of winter all while staying warm and not freezing.
