The Saphan Hin Park in Phuket town is an ideal spot for a little evening rendezvous, with its sprawling walks and lake. Evening time is the busiest in the park, with many street vendors selling delicious local food including fried noodles, barbequed meat and also fried insects! The Giew Tian Geng shrine is also another attraction here.
Situated in Phuket town, plenty of lakes and walking trails surround Saphan Hin Park. Located within the park, there’s Saphan Hin Stadium, which is also Phuket’s main sports centre that includes a badminton space, tennis and basketball courts, a football field, a swimming pool, and petanque pitch.
Although it may not look much during the day, the park transforms into one of the busiest parks in town by 6:00 PM. Besides, there’s also a mini-attraction - tin mining monument, a shell-shaped figurine symbolizing the Saphan Hin Park. Visitors can also check out the Kiew Tien Keng Chinese shrine and the Prince Chumphon Veterans Memorial shrine nestled in the park grounds.
