Nagasaki Confucian Shrine, Nagasaki Overview
Built in 1893 by Nagasaki's Chinese residents, and the only Confucian shrine anywhere in Japan constructed by Chinese hands, with 72 life-size marble statues of Confucius's disciples standing in the courtyard. Behind it is a museum whose exhibits are loaned directly from the Palace Museum in Beijing. Admission 880 yen.
