very useful review for the knowledge Mysore was one of the three largest Princely States in the erstwhile British Empire of India. To this day, the Mysore Palace stands tall as one of the most spectacular palaces in India "Link Hidden"

Today, the Mysore Palace is the greatest reminder of the legacy of the Wadiyar dynasty in Karnataka. It is a must-visit location of site-seeing for its marvellous architecture and grandeur. Although there are a number of larger, more popular temples such as Somnathpur Temple in Mysore, I find the Chamundeshwari Temple to be far more fascinating. It is located on the Chamundi hills and can be reached either by foot (which is a fair walk) or by car. It has gorgeous architecture and a lovely view of the city. To those travelling with children, Mysore Zoo could offer some source of entertainment for its many animals and related exhibitions. I find that knowing Kannada comes in handy in this city.

The city is often rightly considered as Karnataka's 'cultural capital' and is known for its rich heritage. It is home to architectural wonders like the Mysore Palace, Somnathpur Temple, Sri Chamundeswari Temple, which left us amazed. The Brindavan Garden was another fun evening, with its fountain shows, beautiful flora, and even a boat-ride nearby! The St. Philomena?s Cathedral, one of the oldest churches in India, was a wonderful spiritual experience. The boat ride in Karanji Lake was simply breathtaking. A tip for tourists who go here is to dress weather-friendly, as summers can get hot and humid here.

The Mysore Palace is the major attraction of Mysore which is also known as City of Palaces. The Mysore Palace is a beautiful delight to sore eyes as the detailed carving and hand sculpting that has gone into its creation. The Palace is colourful and highly maintained such that it serves a very photographic location. One cannot use dedicated cameras such as DSLRs or even Polaroid Cameras inside the Palace, but mobile photography is permitted and not penalized. It is also a place that is historically significant. Its history can be read on the internet before visiting the palace, if you are not willing to pay for a guide because that?s what my friends and I did. If one means to visit other places arounf the Mysore Palace in Mysore do check if the city is open during that day because we went on a Tuesday and all the shops and places in the city were shut.

Mysore Palace - the pride of Mysore. The enticing architecture is indeed a visual treat. The majestic grandeur of Mysore Palace is like nothing else.Best time to visit Mysore Palace is during Dasara festival. Surely a must visit place in a lifetime not only for its beauty but also for the royalty and customs. Not to forget, Jamboo Savaari is one of the major attraction during this time.

It's no more 15rs, they charge 20rs per head for adults. Apart from it, camera charge is rs 50. Also, I visited the place yesterday at 7pm. For one hour, there was no light. We were sitting in dark.

As it is converted into a heritage hotel, visitors are allowed to the ground floor only.since bar and private rooms are occupied half of the ground floor, there is nothing to see there.

It's a waste to visit this museum with children because no toy train and full of dust. Last week I went with my child to show museum and to play but I was very much disappointed. don't go anyone waste of money. Instead visit shukavana it's really nice and no entry fees here they will charge 20 rs each but nothing is there to enjoy.

Q. What are good nature tourist places in Mysore?

Pallavi Siddhanta 2 years ago
You should head to the Karanji Lake for savoring one of the biggest lakes in Karnataka. The Mysore Zoo if you enjoy a good dose of Flora and Fauna. The Mysore Palace also has a huge garden area out front and back, so head here if you want to sit on the grass or want to let your kids play. The Vrindavan Garden is a great place to be for flora lovers.
