Matsumoto City Museum of Art, Matsumoto Overview
Matsumoto is Yayoi Kusama's birthplace and this museum holds the permanent gallery of her work, with polka-dot sculptures and a covered vending machine outside on the street. The rest of the collection covers the calligrapher Kamijo Shinzan and the painter Tamura Kazuo. Tickets are 700 yen online and 800 at the counter. Closed Mondays.
