Lake Machado, Los Angeles Overview

Lake Machado (or) Machado Lake as it’s known here, is a 231-acre oasis in the Ken Malloy Harbor Regional Park of Harbor City, Los Angeles. A lake catering to a diverse set of people, flora and fauna, Machado Lake is home to over 300 species of migratory birds in its peak season. Plenty of trails adorn the surroundings that keeps a view of the lake in plain sight all along. It’s also home to plenty of native plant species that are a part of the natural water habitat of South California. The residents of Harbor city come down to kayak and sail here on a regular basis.
