What is the best time to visit Kaudulla National Park ?
The National park has animals all year round. However, the best time to visit Kaudulla is between July and December. The famous ‘Elephant Gathering’ around the water reservoir occurs in the dry season from July to October when they come in to quench their thirst after wandering everywhere. The climate is warm yet bearable. A few bottles of water will suffice the heat while exploring here. A little further from Kaudulla is Minneriya national park. It supports unique wildlife and has a serene atmosphere, just like Kaudulla. Since it is a natural habitat for animals there, rains may at times hinder safari services. Other than those reasons it functions in full josh throughout the year.
