Narain Niwas Palace was built in 1928 by General Amar Singh Ji who was the Thakur of Kanota. Prior to being made into a heritage hotel, Narain Niwas Palace was built as a retreat for the Kanota Family to escape the routine life.It was named after Amar Singh Ji’s father, Thakur Narain Singh Ji. Additionally, Amar Singh’s elder brother, Thakur Shivnath Singh has supervised the entire construction.
