Sheesh Mahal, or the Mirror Palace, is one of the most stunning attractions inside Amber Fort in Jaipur. Built in the early 18th century by Raja Man Singh, it is renowned for its dazzling mirror and glass inlay work that decorates the walls and ceilings. Even a single ray of light or a candle flame reflects across the tiny mirrors, creating the magical effect of a starry night.
Located within the Jai Mandir section of Amber Fort, Sheesh Mahal reflects a fine blend of Indian and Persian styles of architecture. To reach it, visitors enter the fort through Ganesh Pol, walk past Jaleb Chowk, and continue towards the Diwan-e-Aam before moving up to the third storey where the Jai Mandir is situated. Inside this hall, Sheesh Mahal reveals its incomparable beauty, with mirrors arranged so intricately that they create a breathtaking effect.
