Texas Zoo, Houston Overview

Located in the City of Victoria Parks and Recreation Office, the Texas Zoo “aims to connect the public to wildlife.” The Texas Zoo is known for its native and exotic fauna, kids’ camp, aviary and a petting zoo.

Texas Zoo Highlights

1. The Texas Zoo holds educational programmes too

Explorer class - Maximum 30 students per class. Additional USD 2 per student for field trip.
Wild Tots (for kids 2 to 4 years old) - Every Thursday 10:00 AM virtually. Free of cost. Registration (Read More)is mandatory.
Zoo Squad - (for homeschoolers 4 to 18 years old) - First Wednesday of very month (excluding summers) - 10:30 AM.
Girl Scout Days - Virtually every Saturday. Minimum participants - 5. Registration is mandatory.
Wildlife encounters like Black Bear encounters, wildlife interaction programs and Jaguar interactions are also organised. However, owing to COVID - 19, these interactions are temporarily unavailable.
