Sesquicentennial Park, Houston Overview

Created along the Buffalo Bayou Banks to commemorate the 150th birthday of Houston, Sesquicentennial Park is a multi-level park spanning over 20 acres. It is quite renowned for its waterfalls, fountains, promenade, lighting, hiking and biking trails, green areas, and waterways.

There are many things visitors can indulge in the park. Some of the spots visitors can check out are President George H. W. Bush’s monument, a collection of 70-foot stainless steel pillars, and The Common area where the park has hosted several exciting events. Along with this, there are multiple outdoor events, especially the water-based activities that are hosted here throughout the year, including the Buffalo Bayou Regatta.
