Once in Honnemardu, you have a choice- Either you can spend all your time indulging in water sports, trekking and bird watching, or you can explore the surrounding area as well. If you prefer the latter, then start with the lake.

After spending a few hours, you can go up to the Dabbe Falls. For some odd reason, they aren't very popular, given they are enthralling. Next head up to Jog Falls. Spend dome time here, and then go to Singadooru Temple. The Goddess Chaudeshwari Temple is not just beautiful on the outside, the entire temple setting and offering prayers there is an enriching experience. If you have time, then you can go to Sagar town as well.
