Previously known as Oak Lawn Park, Turtle Creek Park is one of the must visit parks in Dallas because it offers visitors the chance to find a little bit of serenity amidst the busy city. The park is extremely clean and safe and is known for its green lawns and its creeks.
There are many benches all throughout the park for people to sit down and relax on, and just soak in the environment or watch the many birds and squirrels scurry about. The paths provide an excellent space for walking (alone or with dogs) as well as jogging, while the lawns are perfect for a cosy little picnic. Until 2017, the park housed Confederate Gen. Robert E. Lee’s statue and has always been known for its fun programs during Easter time, such as the Easter Egg Hunt.
