Griggs Park, Dallas Overview

A 7.4-acre historic park, it is a safe green area in Uptown Dallas that was built around 1915 on a former wetland. The space is suitable for children, adults as well as pets. Griggs Park is a splendid location to set up a small picnic, read under the shade of trees, engage in some painting or simply relax while soaking in nature’s bounty.

Besides offering a calm environment, the park has, on site, the Griggs Park Memorial Plaza Obelisk honouring Rev. Allen R. Griggs. For children, there is a decently-sized playground to run around in and play games with each other. The space is great to bring dogs; there are trails as well as paths ideal for owners to walk them and there is also a pet waste station.
