Food of Champawat

Champawat is a reflection of the usual Uttaranchali cuisine, easy to prepare, high on nutrients and prepared with ingredients mostly easily available. Aloo-puri, Gauhat lentil and soup, chapattis made of mandua/ragi, also known as the finger millet.
While Champawat is a small town and not many eating out options are available, you can have the local delicacies right in your own hotel, the people here are very hospitable, or at the smaller dhabas that you can spot on your journeys around the town.
