Biodiversity at Sattal

The calm surroundings of Sattal attract a number of tourists throughout the year. Unlike other hill stations, Sattal is still very much natural. What's Great?

Unexplored part of Uttarakhand. At a very close distance from the infamous Nainital. Perfect place for campers who want to enjoy quite evenings near a beautiful lake. Migratory birds make up for a perfect view.

What's Not So Great?

Not many accommodations are available here. Most of the restaurants only serve North Indian dishes.

For Whom?

Anyone who wants to explore Uttarakhand beyond its famous hill stations must visit Sattal. Due to its tranquil ambience and all-season availability, you can enjoy here with your family or loved one.

How To Reach Sattal

There is no immediate airport, railway station or bus stand available at Sattal, but it is well-connected with some of the major cities of Uttarakhand, so it makes it easy for tourists to travel to Sattal. The nearest airport from Sattal lies at Pantnagar. Whereas, the nearest railway station is at Kathgodam. There are cab services available to reach Sattal.

- Beware of monkeys, they can be quite troublesome during the trip.
- Winters are excruciatingly cold but beautiful at the same time, so carry heavy woolens if travelling during the season.
- Avoid travelling during monsoon season as the area faces excessive landslide and poor road conditions.
