La Plancha opened on Seminyak Beach in 2010 as Bali's first Chiringuito-style Spanish beach bar. It is instantly recognisable for the rows of bright, multicoloured beanbags spread across the sand under tasselled Balinese umbrellas, facing the Indian Ocean. The menu blends Spanish tapas, sangria and cocktails with Indonesian staples, and non-alcoholic options are available for children. Open daily from 10 am to 11 pm, it draws a mix of families, couples and groups, especially at sunset. Reservations can be made through Chope.
Founded in 2010, La Plancha was Bali's first beach bar built in the Spanish "Chiringuito" style, a beachfront tapas-bar tradition. It sits directly on Seminyak Beach and is best known for its long stretches of colourful beanbags and bright Balinese umbrellas facing the ocean, making it one of Seminyak's most photographed sunset spots. The menu covers Spanish tapas, sangria, cold beer and cocktails alongside Indonesian dishes, and the venue welcomes families, couples and larger groups, with non-alcoholic options for children.
