The cave is believed to have provided shelter to Guru Dattatreya and Hazrat Dada Hayath Mir Khalandar. Three day annual celebrations known as Urs are hosted here in the third month of the Islamic calendar. Hindu devotees visit during the Kartik poornima celebrations.
