One of the lesser-known hill stations in Jammu-Kashmir region, Sanasar is an adventure enthusiasts' haven offering various activities such as paragliding, rock climbing, abseiling and trekking. The area is built in a cup-shaped meadow surrounded by gigantic conifers. It is one of the least travelled places in Jammu and Kashmir, but it is breathtaking. Sanasar is known for its green alpine meadows, low rolling hills and high peaks. It is the aero-adventure-sports capital of Jammu.
Accommodation choices are very limited and not that good. Reaching there can also prove to be a problem. The state has some political disturbances also (terrorist attacks). The temperature is very low during the winters.
