Stargazing at High Line Park, New York City Overview

Every Tuesday at dusk, April through October, the High Line at the 14th Street in New York hosts stargazing. It has some of the most beautiful views of the night sky in all of New York City.

Amateurs Astronomers Association of New York provides high powered telescopes for free so that visitors can view stars and other celestial sightings. During the summer, the High Line also does solar observing using telescopes equipped with special filters for viewing the Sun. After viewing the night sky, one can enjoy snacks and desserts like gelatos and tacos at the High Line.

Stargazing at the High line is one of the best free things to do in New York. It is an experience unlike any other. It is free for all. No prior reservations are required.
